Before You Begin:
1. Ensure device being used is connected to same network as server (or physical access to server).
2.login into the server with login credentials.
3. Make sure you have the account_unlocker file (provided by PESA).
Step-by-Step Guide:
1. copy the account_unlocker file onto the server. (two ways to do this either SSH or USB).
- If using SSH you're going to SSH to the server where Secura Control is located ( see example below).
- After login into the server you will copy the file from the location of where the file is on the device you downloaded it on to the destination on the server ( see below).
- You will then go to the destination of where you placed the file on the server and give the file execution permissions. (see Below)
- After file has been giving execution permissions you can execute the file to unlock the Secura Control account. ( see below)
2. Using USB to copy the account_unlocker file onto the server.
- use a USB of your choice and copy the file from the PC you downloaded it on to that USB.
- Before placing USB into the server, logon the server and disable usbguard if enabled ( see command below)
verify usbguard is disabled.
- After disabling usbguard plug the usb into the server and find the usb on the server (see command below)
lsblk will give a list of devices on the server and its location(this is where you will find the USB device location)
usb device is usually under /media/pesa/"device_name"
- Once device location is found go into that device location to copy the file to the server (see below)
We'll then copy the file on the USB to the server location of /usr/bin.
- We will now go into the folder where we copied the file and make the file executable (see below)
now run the command to make the file executable
- Now the file can be executed to unlock the Secura Control account (see below)
3. Account is now unlocked and available to use.
